Why Roof Eco
An effective thermal barrier, at the weight and price of a conventional membrane.
The micro-perforated aluminised film reflects a large part of the infrared radiation and considerably reduces heat ingress in summer — with certified performance that is maintained after ageing.
Reflects infrared radiation
The aluminised film has an emissivity of 0.18 — the same value before and after artificial ageing. It reflects approximately 82% of the infrared radiation and reduces heat ingress in summer.
Anti-condensation all year round
Sd 0.07 m and class W1 including after ageing: the vapour leaves the structure, the water does not get in. The sarking boards and the insulation stay dry.
Two integrated self-adhesive strips
Along the whole length of the membrane, for a perfect and permanent seal of the overlaps. The two adhesive strips ensure a permanent, ultra-resistant bond.
Light, quick to install
155 g/m² and only 12 kg for the 75 m² roll — easy to handle on the roof, with minimal effort during installation.
Customisable on request
Widths from 1.5 to 3 m, lengths from 10 to 100 m, with 0, 1 or 2 adhesive strips — plus printed design and palletising to the customer's requirements.
Part of System 10
Compatible with discontinuous roof coverings according to EN 13859-1. Naturally resistant to mould and rot.
The difference you can feel
80 °C above. About 46 °C below.
On a summer afternoon, heat builds up under the roof covering that the attic insulation can no longer send back outside — once it is in, it simply has to be endured. Roof Eco stops it before it gets in: when the zone above the membrane reaches about 80 °C, the temperature at the sarking boards stays around 46 °C.
Number 1 is still here
Do you want to use the best breathable roof membrane on the market?
You will find it with us too: Roof Pro — pure aluminium film with emissivity 0.05, about 38 °C at the sarking boards under the same conditions and an estimated service life of 50 years, compared with 30 years for Roof Eco.
→ Discover Roof Pro⚠️ Beware of similar products
There are grey breathable roof membranes on the market, with no reflective layer at all, presented as thermally insulating. Without an aluminised film, those products have no capacity to reflect radiant heat. Roof Eco uses a superior-quality aluminised film, with a measured emissivity that is stable over time.
Comparison
A conventional membrane only stops water. Roof Eco also works thermally.
Its position — immediately under the roof covering — turns it into a strategic layer for summer comfort.

Conventional breathable roof membrane
- –Main role: protection against water and removal of vapour.
- –No reflective layer — no contribution to reducing thermal radiation.
- –Strips for sealing: usually not.
- –Low UV resistance.

Reflectiva Roof Eco
- ✓Combines the anti-condensation function with radiant protection — reflects ~82% of the infrared, stable over time.
- ✓Two integrated self-adhesive strips, along the whole length.
- ✓Class W1 for water, including after artificial ageing.
- ✓Direct exposure permitted for up to 90 days before the roof covering is installed.
- ✓Summer: about 80 °C above the membrane, about 46 °C at the sarking boards · estimated service life: 30 years.

Roof Eco is installed over the sarking boards, the thermal insulation or the rafters, beneath the ventilation system formed by the counter-battens and battens.
Technical data sheet
Certified specifications
Flexible breathable membrane for waterproofing, classified under EN 13859-1:2010 in the category of underlays for discontinuous roofs: micro-perforated aluminised outer film (allows the condensation to evaporate) + three inner layers of microporous polypropylene film. For pitched roofs, with or without a continuous support.

Simple, logical, efficient
Prepare the substrate
The surfaces must be securely fixed, clean and smooth.
Lay the membrane
Horizontally along the roof slope, over the sarking boards, the thermal insulation or the rafters. Fixing with nails or flat-head staples, non-corrosive. Laid loosely, flat, without creases.
Overlap and seal
Overlaps of at least 150 mm, depending on the pitch; continuous strips wherever possible. Sealing with the double-sided adhesive strips along the edges of the membrane.
Ventilation + roof covering
Counter-battens fixed into the rafters, then the battens for the roof covering — with a gap between the membrane and the battens for drainage and ventilation.
Orientation of the strips: the adhesive strip on the inner side — always facing down; the strip on the aluminised film — always facing up. The upper length overlaps the lower one at the adhesive strips. Direct exposure: a maximum of 90 days until the final roof covering is installed. Indicative information — it does not replace the installation guide; local building regulations must be observed.

Clarifications before installation
Do I need a ventilation gap under the membrane?
No. Roof Eco is installed directly over the sarking boards, the thermal insulation or the rafters. Ventilation takes place above the membrane, through the gap created by the counter-battens and battens — that gap remains essential.
What is the difference compared with Roof Pro?
Roof Eco uses aluminised film (emissivity 0.18 — reflects ~82% of the infrared) and is lighter. Roof Pro uses film made of pure aluminium (emissivity 0.05) and a reinforcing mesh — for maximum thermal and mechanical performance. Both are class W1, including after ageing.
How much does the temperature drop under the membrane?
On a summer day, about 80 °C is reached above the membrane, while at the sarking boards the temperature stays around 46 °C. The aluminised film with an emissivity of 0.18 re-radiates little of the heat it receives, and the ventilated layer between the counter-battens removes the rest. For extra performance — about 38 °C at the sarking boards, under the same conditions — Roof Pro uses pure aluminium with an emissivity of 0.05.
How long can the membrane remain exposed without a roof covering?
A maximum of 90 days. We recommend installing the final roof covering without delay.
How do I orient the adhesive strips during installation?
The adhesive strip on the inner side always faces down, and the one on the aluminised film always faces up. The upper length overlaps the lower one at the adhesive strips — the two strips ensure a permanent, ultra-resistant bond.
Can it be used on ventilated façades?
Yes. Roof Eco is a professional breathable membrane for roofs and ventilated façades: protection against wind and water behind the cladding, with vapour diffusion assured.
Where can I buy Isoflect Roof Eco?
In two places: directly from this page, on isoflect.shop — you add the roll to the basket and receive it from Isoflect stock — or from our partner Dedeman, where you order online or collect in store.
Is Roof Eco included in the System 10 packages?
Yes — Roof Eco is a product integrated in System 10, alongside Isoflect Wolle insulation and the thermoreflective membranes Multistrat and Gold. See the composition of the System 10 packages.
