Isoflect® Floor Pro — a single layer, four functions in the floor
Reflective membrane for underfloor heating systems: it reflects radiant heat back into the room, works as a vapour barrier on the concrete slab, helps reduce the infiltration of radon gas and dampens impact noise.
Why Isoflect® Floor Pro
Better efficiency of underfloor heating
The reflective aluminium layer redirects radiant heat towards the room, instead of letting it be lost into the concrete slab. The result: the floor reaches comfort temperature faster, heat distribution is uniform across the entire surface, and the system operates with reduced energy consumption.
Protection against radon gas
Installed continuously in the basement and ground-floor flooring, with sealed joints, the membrane helps reduce the infiltration of radon gas from the ground into the interior of the building. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas, odourless and colourless, classified by the World Health Organization as the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.

Vapour barrier — protection against moisture from the foundation
Applied to the concrete slab, the membrane stops the migration of natural moisture from the foundation towards the upper layers of the floor. It prevents deterioration, the appearance of mould and damage to the materials installed above: polystyrene, grooved boards, wool, screed.
Reduction of vibration and impact noise
The air-bubble structure acts as a damping layer: it reduces vibrations transmitted through the building structure, footstep noise and the noise of objects falling on the floor. A real plus for residential projects geared towards premium comfort.

The values come from the Isoflect Floor Pro declaration of conformity. Emissivity and reflectivity are properties of the pure aluminium surface and are common to the entire Reflectiva range.
Installation instructions

Positioning. The membrane is installed directly on the concrete slab or on Isoflect Vibra 9 for superior acoustic performance. The aluminium foil faces downwards.

Surface preparation. The surface must be smooth, free of roughness or sharp elements and completely cleared of debris. This prevents perforation of the foil and preserves the continuity of the barrier.

Turning up the walls. The membrane is turned up the walls by approximately 8 cm, also taking on the role of a perimeter strip. For correct sealing, apply double-sided adhesive tape to the perimeter area before installation.

Jointing and sealing. The strips are butted together or slightly overlapped. The joints are sealed exclusively with Isoflect® Power Tape (10 cm wide) — a requirement for the vapour and radon barrier function.

The final layer. Above it, flooring polystyrene, grooved boards, wood-wool or rock-wool mats, rigid boards or the levelling screed directly can be applied. The excess membrane is trimmed after the screed has been poured, at the final level.
