Thermal insulation membrane with vapour control
Reflectiva Silver is a premium thermal insulation membrane with complete vapour control, the superior option in the Reflectiva family. It is used beneath the roof covering, as a thermal insulation layer with a radiant barrier in the ventilated zone of the roof, and on the inside, as an airtight thermo-reflective vapour barrier.

Reflectiva Silver is used differently depending on its position in the system: beneath the roof covering or on the inside.
Beneath the roof covering
Installed in roofs with a batten and counter-batten system, in the ventilated zone, as a thermal insulation layer with vapour control. Multi-layer protection with 95% barrier efficiency.
On the inside
Installed between the living space and the bulk insulation zone, functioning as a thermo-reflective vapour barrier. It must be installed airtight, with complete control.

The multi-layer membrane is installed in the ventilated zone between the roof covering battens, with complete control of vapour migration. Ventilation at the eaves and ridge must be maintained for air circulation.
Parallel to the eaves
The strips are installed in courses parallel to the base of the roof, progressively towards the ridge.

Installation is carried out course by course, as the horizontal battens of the roof covering are fitted.
Ventilation 30–40 cm
Free ventilation gaps are maintained at the eaves and ridge for air circulation.
Vapour control: essential for structural integrity
Reflectiva Silver provides complete vapour control, preventing the uncontrolled migration of moisture from the living space towards the roof structure. This protects the insulation and the structural elements.
Precise vapour control means that the membrane allows the partial and controlled release of moisture, while at the same time protecting against uncontrolled infiltration. This is different from an impermeable barrier that would block vapour entirely.

The order of installation and compliance with the ventilation rules are essential for the correct operation of the vapour-control system.
Compatible breathable membranes
REFLECTIVA SILVER is compatible with all breathable roof membranes, but for the best results from the assembly of exterior membranes we recommend ROOF PRO and ROOF ECO.
Silver is installed as a thermal insulation layer
The membrane is installed in the ventilated zone, as a SHIELD against radiant heat.
Long-term protection
The two aluminium foils have a significantly longer service life than that of a standard breathable membrane. Over time, it will remain the main protection against moisture. Used together with ROOF PRO, the roof will remain fully protected for very long periods.
Strips parallel to the eaves
Installation is carried out in courses parallel to the base of the roof, in progressive courses.
Progressive rise towards the ridge
The courses are installed gradually, along with the fitting of the horizontal battens. The upper course overlaps the lower course by 5-10 cm. This creates a system of channels that will carry away any water that gets in.
Ventilation is maintained
Free gaps of approximately 30–40 cm are left at the eaves and ridge for air circulation.

The values come from the Reflectiva Silver technical data sheet, edition 08/2026. Construction: 110 g/m² polyethylene air-bubble film, with 24 µm pure aluminium film on both faces (7 µm aluminium and 17 µm lamination layer). Having aluminium on both faces, the product works in both directions and does not require a mandatory orientation during installation.

What is the difference between Silver and Bronze?
